Regional Medical Director
Benjamin Haas, DVM, MBA, MA is a Regional Medical Director providing guidance and leadership to the Medical Services teams at MedVet Akron, MedVet Cleveland Northeast, MedVet Cleveland West, MedVet Mahoning Valley, MedVet Pittsburgh, and MedVet Toledo.
Prior to joining the MedVet leadership team in 2017, Dr. Haas spent six years fulfilling various leadership roles at Banfield, including Medical Director and Regional Medical Director. In addition to his time at Banfield, Dr. Haas spent several years working as an associate veterinarian in the Emergency and Critical Care department at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona, as well as Pender Veterinary Centre where he served as the Chief of Staff of the Emergency department and an associate veterinarian in the general and exotics practice.
Dr. Haas is an alumnus of the College of William and Mary, receiving both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree in Biology. Dr. Haas earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University.
Dr. Haas’ favorite part of working in the veterinary profession is the opportunity it affords him to help the community in a variety of ways. Whether it has been working directly in the exam room with clients and patients or, more recently, helping veterinarians, paraprofessionals and veterinary leaders reach their potential, he most enjoys having the ability to make a difference in the lives of both people and pets.
When outside of the office, Dr. Haas enjoys hiking, traveling and playing tennis.
