Alexis Torre, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Jupiter.
Dr. Torre earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Trinity University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating from veterinary school, she completed an equine internship at Retama Equine Hospital. Dr. Alexis Torre then followed the show horses to Florida and worked as an equine sports medicine veterinarian for many years before making the switch to small animal emergency medicine.
Dr. Torre’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is the complex medical cases that she sees in the ER.
In her spare time, Dr. Alexis Torre enjoys spending time on her farm with her husband caring for their horses, Olga and Funkmaster Flex; donkey Don King; pig, Piggy Smalls; dog, Girlfriend; and cat, Gilbert. She is an avid show jumper and has high hopes for Funkmaster Flex in the show ring.
