Dania Shirk, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Campbell and MedVet Mountain View. Dr. Shirk earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, CA. She started her career as a technician assistant and receptionist at veterinary hospitals across Rocklin and Sacramento. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, CA. While in veterinary school, she worked across the state landing several externships that gave her exposure to shelter medicine, radiology, oncology, neurology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care. Dr. Shirk then completed an internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, CA, but returned to the Bay Area afterwards to work in emergency medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Shirk enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, doing outside activities, traveling, and playing board games. When not caring for patients at the hospital, she is caring for her own dog, a Pomeranian mix named Kaya.
