Danielle Krause, DVM, is a veterinary intern at WestVet Boise where she has been a part of the team since 2021.
Dr. Krause attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Neuroscience. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Fort Collins, CO.
She has a special interest in orthopedic surgery as well as minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy. Dr. Krause’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is collaborating with pet owners to make the best decision for their pet by working as a team to keep them as healthy as possible.
Dr. Krause has co-authored an article for a veterinary journal on the “Retrospective Evaluation of Association Between Perioperative Antimicrobial Protocol and Complications Following Elective Equine Synovial Endoscopy.”
In her spare time, Dr. Krause can be found outdoors skiing, hiking, backpacking, or mountain biking. Her dog is her number one sidekick, joining her in many of her adventures.
