Emily Dozeman, DVM, DACVECC is a board-certified veterinarian Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Specialist who joined the MedVet Chicago team in July of 2019. Dr. Dozeman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a minor in Life Science followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, OH. She also completed a general rotating internship at SouthPaws Veterinary Hospital in Fairfax, VA.
Dr. Dozeman has authored publications on Whole-body Computed Tomography in Polytrauma patients and has special interests in trauma, sepsis, and transfusion medicine. The human-animal bond and the ability to apply advanced medicine to an expanding practice were influential factors leading her to the career field of veterinary medicine. She has been with MedVet as a veterinary student, as an emergency medicine doctor, and now in critical care.
In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, Yoga, and anything active!
