Dr. Garfield attended University of Wisconsin in River Falls, WI where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Garfield earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts.
Although interested in all aspects of Emergency Medicine, she maintains a special interest in managing traumatic wounds, toxin ingestion, and urinary emergencies. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine seeing the transformation of a pet from the time they arrive to the time they are able to be reunited with their family.
When not treating patients, Dr. Garfield enjoys playing volleyball, training service dogs, and spending time with her family.
