Lauri-Jo Gamble, DVM, CCRP, CVA is a veterinarian who is residency trained in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. She joined the MedVet Chicago team in August 2019. Dr. Gamble completed two years of Cegep in health sciences in Quebec, Canada followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honors from Faculté de Médecine Vétérinaire de l’Université de Montréal, St-Hyacinthe in Quebec, Canada. She also completed her small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC followed by a specialized internship in sports medicine and rehabilitation at the Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group in Annapolis Junction, MD. She completed her residency at Cornell University Animal Hospital in Ithaca, NY.

Dr. Gamble has authored numerous research articles covering CBD oil in dogs with arthritis, the metabolomics of sled dogs during endurance racing, and Achilles tendon injuries. She maintains a special interest in sports medicine (especially conditioning and common soft tissue injury management), rehabilitation following surgery, analgesia for senior pets, and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Gamble enjoys promoting health and welfare in her patients and finds it extremely rewarding to follow a pet (and its owner) through the post-operative period, witnessing improvement in mobility and comfort in geriatric dogs and cats, and insuring proper conditioning and fitness in canine athletes.

In her free time, Dr. Gamble enjoys kick-boxing, kayaking, and mountain biking.
