Megan Barry, DVM, is a veterinary intern at WestVet Boise where she has been a part of the team since 2021.
Dr. Barry attended the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison, WI where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Barry has co-authored publications on the effect of exercise on sleep and seizure frequency in dogs with idiopathic epilepsy receiving anti-epileptic drugs as well as on daytime and nocturnal activity in treated idiopathic epileptic dogs compared to matched unaffected controls. She has a special interest in emergency medicine and critical care, plus reducing stress in Patients and is Fear Free Certified®. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the ability to alleviate pain and suffering of animals and improve the human-animal bond.
In her spare time, Dr. Barry enjoys puzzles, reading, and running.
