The Peri-operative Brachycephalic (BRisk) Score and How to Make it Work

This live interactive medical program will review the peri-operative/peri-hospital care of brachycephalic dogs, including the BRisk score and how to make it work. Brachycephalic dogs are very common and need many adjustments to make a hospital visit or anesthetic event successful and safe. This course will focus on how to utilize brachycephalic protocols to improve the care and successful outcome of our brachycephalic patients.

Learning Objectives

  1. BRisk scoring.
  2. How to utilize BRisk assessment in brachycephalic dogs and protocolize their stay to mitigate risk in this patient population.
  3. Key points of brachycephalic surgery.
