MedVet Rotating Internships

MedVet offers a 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine, emergency medicine, and surgery at several of our emergency and specialty hospitals.

Qualifications: MedVet rotating internships are designed to give the new graduate veterinarian additional practical and educational opportunities to further their knowledge and experience.

Duration: 1 year

Opportunities:  The MedVet rotating internship will provide clinical experience supervised by board-certified specialists and experienced emergency medicine veterinarians in a variety of specialties depending on your internship location. Experiences may include anesthesia and analgesia, cardiology, critical care, dentistry and oral surgery, dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, integrative medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, medical oncology, ophthalmology, radiation oncology, radiology, rehabilitation, and/or surgery.

As a MedVet int,ern you are part of a well-designed training program that provides you with the experience to join an exceptional clinical practice or progress to a residency for specialty board certification. Rotating interns have opportunities for participation in journal clubs, daily clinical around, formal rounds, receive and manage emergency cases, manage medical and surgical cases, and interact and consult with the many MedVet specialists.

MedVet Specialty Internships

Qualifications: MedVet specialty internships are designed for the veterinarian who has completed a rotating internship and is interesting in seeking additional training and experience in a single specialty.

Duration: 1 year

Opportunities: The MedVet specialty internship will provide structured clinical experience supervised by board-certified specialists in a variety of specialties.  Depending on your internship location, you may choose an internship in the following specialties:
