MedVet Expands Emergency Services to Mahoning Valley in Northeast Ohio

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is pleased to announce its expansion into Mahoning Valley in northeast Ohio with the addition of the After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic which is now called MedVet Mahoning Valley. This partnership will provide local veterinarians continued support and access to emergency veterinary care in the greater Mahoning Valley community.
“We are very excited to be expanding in the Mahoning Valley community,” said MedVet President, Dr. Eric Schertel. MedVet and the After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic have always been committed to, and will continue to deliver, the highest level of compassionate emergency veterinary medical care.
Dr. Linda Lehmkuhl, MedVet’s Chief Medical Officer said, “Our goal in this partnership is to fuse the strength and reputation of the AEC’s emergency services with MedVet’s well-known focus on collaborative care to develop an emergency hospital that serves as an extension of local veterinary practices.” MedVet Mahoning Valley will continue to provide the current schedule of emergency services.
In addition to MedVet Mahoning Valley, MedVet operates a network of fifteen medical centers in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas, and is committed to delivering the highest quality, most compassionate specialty and emergency veterinary care available in the nation.

Service Dogs Receive a Complimentary Health Screening at MedVet in May

MedVet is providing complimentary eye exams the entire month of May to service dogs during the 11th Annual ACVO®/StokesRx™ National Service Dog Eye Exam Event. Three of MedVet’s medical centers are providing these screenings: Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton, Ohio. These screenings are by appointment only.
