Medvet Secures Investment Supporting Continued Growth in Specialty Healthcare For Pets

MedVet, a growing nationwide network of specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals, has secured an investment from entities affiliated with the Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division emphasizing the strong interest and importance in expanding the availability of specialty healthcare for pets. “As one of the largest veterinarian led and owned organizations in the U.S., we are thrilled to have the support of the Goldman Sachs team to help accelerate our healthy growth and the advancement of our mission of Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets,” said Dr. Eric Schertel, Executive Chairman of the MedVet Board. “We are also appreciative of the advisory support received from the Harris Williams team throughout this investment process.”

MedVet is also pleased to announce that SkyKnight Capital and Stonehenge Partners, MedVet’s previous investors, will join Goldman Sachs in the investment. “As previous minority investors in MedVet, we look forward to their continued insight and support of our business, and more importantly the successful execution of our key strategies of the Employee Experience, MedVet Experience, and Healthy Growth,” said Dr. Linda Lehmkuhl, Chief Executive Officer of MedVet.
