Krizia Santos Rodríguez, DVM, is Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville where she has been part of the team since 2022.
Dr. Santos-Rodríguez received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Puerto-Rico. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Puerto-Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Dr. Krizia Santos-Rodríguez then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She was also the recipient of the Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program scholarship.
Throughout her training, Dr. Santos-Rodríguez has developed a special interest in emergency medicine and cardiology, hoping to pursue a residency and specialization in Cardiology. She enjoys a career in veterinary medicine because it allows her to advocate for animals and their wellbeing.
When not treating patients, Dr. Santos-Rodríguez enjoys exercising and a wide variety of outdoor activities.
