Shawn Zimmermann, RVT, CCRP, is a Registered Veterinary Technician and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) at MedVet Cincinnati. She has been a part of the team since 2012.
Shawn attended the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College where she earned an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. Following her graduation, Shawn worked as a veterinary technician at a holistic veterinary practice and emergency medicine hospital, where she developed a desire to improve the quality of life for dogs and cats through physical rehabilitation. Shawn then completed the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner program. She is also certified in Osteoarthritis Case Management, Kinesio taping, and Low Stress Handling®.
Shawn Zimmermann works closely with MedVet doctors across all specialties to create and integrate the best rehabilitation services for each patient, including patient assessment, treatment plans, client education, and more. She also works closely with referral veterinarians in the Cincinnati community to consult on their in-house rehabilitation treatment plans. While Shawn enjoys all aspects of her role, she has a special interest in pain management, water therapy, and manual therapies.
When not caring for patients, Shawn enjoys knitting, listening to and playing music, and snuggling with her fur babies.
